Brian Smith (born 12 September 1955) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
Born in Bolton, Smith played for Bolton Wanderers, Bradford City, Tulsa Roughnecks, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Bury and Salisbury City.[1][2]
Smith made his debut for Stan Ternent's Blackpool in the opening fixture of their 1979–80 League campaign, against Gillingham at Bloomfield Road on 18 August. He scored in their third game, a 4–3 defeat at Grimsby Town on 25 August. He went on to play in the next fifteen League matches, before a run of eleven non-appearances. His final appearance as a Blackpool player was as a substitute in a 2–0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers on 9 February.[3]
